a letter from mother russia

Its funny how the dumb things you do in college later come back to haunt you later in life. Today I received an email from an unknown sender. The name looked Russian, but I know very few russians, and this wasn't one of them. Now, back in freshman year, the guys from Wood Hall and I somehow ended up looking online for Russian mail order brides. We wanted to "order" one for our friend Ed, but only to realize that they can't be ordered per say. Nonetheless, the whole thing provided an evening of hilarity. However, I must have put my email address in one of the websites somewhere back in the day, because today I received an email from one of the brides to be (my comments in bold): Hello, my gentleman (I dont get many letters that start like that unfortunately, though I wish she had said "gentleman lover") I hope that when you receive this letter, you won't close it without signs of attention and interest. Odd

I just dreamt that there was some time traveling scheme where the british were going back in time to prevent the american revolution. In the end, there was someone who looked suspiciously like Edward Norton who was sent back in time to stop the time traveling brits. In the end, everyone came to an understanding and I came back to the future where I went to sleep on the top floor of a Starbucks until they opened in the morning.

Sunshine (a movie review)

Ridiculous? Well, maybe from a scientific point of view, but not any crazier than most science fiction films. In some ways it is more scientifically defendable than killer creatures from space or light-saber wars. Nevertheless, suspension of disbelief is a must when watching the movie. That being said, once the suspension of disbelief is attained and the premise of the movie is accepted, the film becomes a thrilling ride. In fact, I must place Sunshine close to the likes of films like Ridley Scott's Alien or Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey. In truth, I think those films are good...
